Blaine Daimaru, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker providing in-person and telehealth services in Utah, and telehealth services in Scottsdale Arizona, Tucson Arizona, and Idaho. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition. He then earned a Master of Divinity degree from Lubbock Christian University in 2017 and a Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in 2019. He specializes in treating addictive, anxious, and compulsive disorders using evidence-based treatments such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and others. He treats all subtypes of OCD and anxiety related conditions and has special interest in scrupulosity, harm OCD, and social anxiety.
Blaine is committed to providing high quality, individualized care for each client he sees, believing that everyone deserves a tailored approach that honors their unique experiences and strengths. Having lived on three different continents, he values the diverse cultures and perspectives clients bring to the therapeutic space. He has confidence that with the right information, skills, and encouragement, anyone can create a fulfilling, successful life.
Blaine is married with four young children. He enjoys hiking, discovering new restaurants, visiting aquariums, attending orchestra concerts, reading, and composing music. His love of learning has taken him around the United States, bringing richness to his life and helping him do his best professionally. Blaine is a military veteran who has proudly served his community and nation in the Army National Guard for over a decade.
At CalmOCD we treat individuals ages 5 and up with obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, eating disorders, panic disorder, agoraphobia, phobias, misophonia, body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and co-occurring depression.
